Some collaborations are so special that you're just excited to finally talk about them! For over two years, we've been working with the fantastic Zurich-based eyewear company VIU , producing the handcrafted THE BEADED CHAIN eyewear chains for them.
Our designer Felix develops the custom pieces together with the production managers in Zurich and Munich. The necklaces are lovingly and carefully handcrafted by our women's cooperative in Nepal .
Empower Pink – a glasses chain for a good cause
In celebration of Women's Day, VIU has launched a very special eyewear chain: Empower Pink . The best part? 100% of sales are donated—a fantastic initiative from VIU that demonstrates how social responsibility and design go hand in hand.
Sustainable partnership at eye level
We are delighted about this long-term collaboration with VIU. The eyeglass chains are available in all VIU stores in the DACH region . We particularly appreciate that VIU supports this traditional craft not as a charity , but as a partnership on equal terms .
It all started in 2023 with our Swiss jewelry label OBO . Since then, around 3,000 eyeglass chains have been produced together with our partners in Nepal – and the trend continues!
